HyeBrow Is Here — A Project Built with Purpose

HyeBrow Is Here — A Project Built with Purpose

Tomorrow, October 10, 2026 marks a very special milestone for us: HyeBrow.com officially opens its doors.

HyeBrow did not begin simply as an idea for an online store. It began with a much bigger question: How can we help keep the Armenian language, culture, and identity present in everyday life — especially for the generations to come?

For more than four decades, I have been involved in the Armenian community through cultural organizations and volunteer work. Over the years, I have watched our community grow and change. I have also seen something many Armenian families experience: our children and grandchildren may deeply love their heritage, yet reading, writing, or speaking Armenian can gradually become more difficult from one generation to the next.

That reality became one of the strongest inspirations behind HyeBrow.

I wanted to create things that people would actually use — not simply admire and put away. A calendar sitting on a desk. A puzzle that makes you stop and think in Armenian. A shirt or mug that starts a conversation. A game that introduces a new word. A gift that carries a little bit of Armenian culture into someone’s everyday life.

And importantly, HyeBrow is not intended only for fluent Armenian speakers.

It is also for Armenians who understand only a little Armenian, those who cannot yet read it, young people growing up outside Armenia, mixed Armenian families, and even non-Armenian friends who are interested in our culture. Whenever possible, our projects are designed to make Armenian approachable through Western Armenian, transliteration, and English.

The goal is not perfection. The goal is participation.

Because a language survives when people use it, read it, write it, speak it, see it — and enjoy it.

The past several years have been filled with ideas, sketches, research, corrections, discarded versions, new versions, long nights, and a tremendous amount of learning. The last year in particular has been monumental in turning many of those ideas into actual products.

HyeBrow has also been very much a family and community effort. My two sons, friends, family members, proofreaders, supporters, and people who generously shared their knowledge have all played a part in helping these projects move forward. What started as pages of ideas and unfinished designs has gradually become something real.

One of the first major HyeBrow projects is our 2027 Western Armenian Daily Calendar, created as much as a language and cultural experience as it is a calendar. Each day brings Armenian into your routine through language, information, humor, puzzles, personalities, history, traditions, and discoveries — presented in Armenian, transliteration, and English so that more people can participate. The 2027 Daily Calendar is launching tomorrow on 10/10/2026.

But the calendar is only the beginning.

HyeBrow will continue developing meaningful, useful, creative projects — calendars, puzzles, games, books, gifts, apparel, personalized pieces, and new ideas that connect Armenian heritage with modern everyday life.

Some will teach. Some will entertain. Some will make you think. Some may simply make you smile.

But behind all of them will be the same purpose:

to create another reason to use Armenian today, so that it will still be here tomorrow.

Launching HyeBrow.com feels less like reaching the finish line and more like reaching the starting point. There is still much to create, improve, learn, and share.

If you are visiting HyeBrow for the first time, welcome. Look around, follow our journey, share HyeBrow with your family and friends, and come back often. New projects are already on the way.

And most importantly, thank you to everyone who encouraged this idea while it was still just an idea.

Here’s to keeping our language visible, our culture relevant, and our Armenian spirit alive — today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Welcome to HyeBrow.
